OVER 10 THOUSAND SEEKING PROPERTY IN UGANDA (FEBRUARY AND MARCH).
|
|
If you're in real estate or just keeping an eye on the market, here's something you'll want to know: over 10,000 people visited the Real Estate Database (RED) within each month of February and March searching for properties to rent or buy in Uganda. Yes, you read that right, ten thousand! And that's only counting RED. It doesn't even include other major related platforms like Lamudi.co.ug or Realtor.ug.
So what does this mean for you?
Whether you're a property agent, a broker, or just someone trying to understand where the market is headed, this kind of traffic is gold. But before we dive deeper, a quick heads-up: April tends to be a slow season. The RED stats from 2023 and 2024 tell the same story. But don't worry, things usually pick up again in May and June, so the best is yet to come.
Where Were People Searching?
We took a close look at the data, and here below are the top most visited locations on RED during each month of February and March. If you're listing properties in these areas, you're definitely in the spotlight:
Kira, Kyanja, Munyonyo, Muyenga, Naguru, Bwebajja, Najjera, Lubowa, Kololo, Kitende, Bbunga, Ntinda, Kisaasi, Entebbe, Namugongo, Buziga, Bugoloobi, Kigo, Dubai, Naalya, SouthAfrica, Seguku, Kiwaatule, Kulambilo, Gayaza, Mbuya, Garuga, Mutungo, Akright, Kasangati, Kansanga, Bukoto, Nakasero, Bweyogerere, Bukasa, Namulanda, Butabika, Kajjansi, Makindye, Kyaliwajjala, Komamboga, Seeta, Sonde, Luzira, Bweya, Nansana, Buwaate, Kyambogo, Kungu, Kawuku, Mpererwe, Buloba, Kenya, Katabi, Nakweelo, Kireka, Matugga, Nkumba, Kisugu, Bulindo, Nasuuti, Kyebando, Mbalwa, Busaabala, Rubaga, Ndejje, Nalumunye, Ggaba, Mulawa, Bwelenga, Gayazabusiika, Namataba, Mutundwe, Kawuga, Lweza, Lungujja, Mamerito, Nsangi, Zana, Kyakalanzi, Kanyanya, Katosi, Kyabakadde, Ssenge, Bunamwaaya, Mukono, Kitubulu, Kikyuusa, Kiira, Katubwe, Namanve, Nabusugwe, Lugogo, Kitukutwe, Magere, Namuwongo, Bukakata, Salaama, Kanjokya and Kyengela.
Each of these links on RED showcases featured properties, and even if you're not listing there (yet), it gives you a great sense of where buyers are actively looking.
What Kind of Properties Are in Demand?
Buyers weren't just browsing aimlessly. They were zooming in on very specific property types. Here's a quick list of the most viewed categories:
Storyed houses, Mansions, Villas, Schools, Duplexes, Farms, Office Space, Penthouses, Flat shares, Restaurants, Beaches, Resorts, Hospitals, Maisionettes, Islands and Saloons.
If you have any listings in these categories, now's the time to upload them into the RED.
How to Make the Most of This Traffic.
Here's the deal: traffic is great, but conversions come from regular and consistent follow-ups. And not just the recent ones. At RED, we always remind agents to follow up on every inquiry and qualified leads, not just the ones who contacted you in the last few weeks. Some prospects take longer to decide, but they're still interested. Consistency matters.
To keep that momentum going, RED also runs re-targeting campaigns, sending out emails to all those 10,000+ monthly visitors to remind them of the properties they viewed. This gives you a second (and third) chance to get back on their radar.
My Final Thoughts.
If you're already using RED to list your properties, awesome. But make sure you're using it strategically. Keep your listings updated, follow up like a pro, and take advantage of RED's built-in marketing tools to keep your properties in front of serious buyers.
If you're not on RED yet ... well, what are you waiting for? Let's turn all that traffic into closed deals.
